EVENT: MinNature Malaysia, Asia's Largest Miniature Exhibition
April 23, 2017
Mini the next big thing
Asia's Largest 1:87 Miniature Exhibition
MinNature Malaysia is definitely one of the top activities to do spending quality time with family.
Pretty obvious from its pronunciation, MinNature is miniature, it is Asia's largest 1:87 miniature exhibition, spanning across 17,000 sq.ft, at 4th floor of Summit USJ, next to Golden Screen Cinema.
In case you are wondering what's the size of 1:87 scale, you can see the comparison diagram below, it's almost like the size of rice I can say.
Idea and Origin of MinNature
The idea of MinNature is inspired by Miniatur Wunderland Hamburg, the brainchild behind this exhibition (Alvin Wan) intend to bring this experience all the way from Germany to Malaysia. It was a long road for Alvin and his team of artists (over 80 of them altogether) to materialise this. 3D printing started way back in 2014, all foundation like laying plywood started 8 months before the opening of MinNature in November 2016. They have built 1,000 miniature buildings and 5,000 figures to-date, and the number still adding.
Hard work of local artist
They managed to attract over 4,000 visitors in just their first 3 months of operation. I can truly imagine how happy the team could be by seeing their hard work pay off, it's like giving birth to your own child. LOL
Mini Malaysia Iconic Landmark
The most exciting part during the tour of MinNature is to be able to see all the mini iconic landmark of Malaysia, it is definitely something so familiar to all Malaysian.
