EAT X GIVEAWAY: Aprovecha el día at Pisco Bar KL
August 21, 2017A bar specializes in drink of course, and serving food since 2012, but lately they just relaunch a new food menu, featuring Peruvian and Spanish Cuisine.
You can hardly spot its entrance as I myself happen to miss the entrance too.
It looks like a boutique hotel right?
It's easy to find as it located just opposite Park Royal Serviced Suites.
High table top and chair and dimmed lighting inside.
One can sit outside, there is also a live band; and if you noticed the staircase, yes there is a rooftop, but it only open on Friday and Saturday night.
This sofa area is so secluded for closed group gossip session. 😛
Love the painting they put to spice up the whole environment, especially this one here.
A typical Peruvian dish made of fresh raw fish and seafood, quick marinated. I tasted fresh salmon chunk, sea bass, prawn and squid.
I was told that they call the dressing "tiger milk", it's nothing taste like milk nor it consist any milk in it; it was rather sourish, to an extent most of my companion dislike it, but I like it a lot.
2. Signature Pisco Tapas, RM68
It looks like a mini party pack down there isn't it?
Indeed it i, with deep fried baby squid, Pisco Parmigiana, mushroom croquettes, grilled chicken skewers and chorizo (Spanish cured pork sausage) lollipop. The Pisco Parmigiana is eggplant parmigiana and consists of layers of sliced eggplant, cheese and tomatoes.
Do not be surprised if you find chorizo taste like the Chinese 腊肠 (sausage), according to them, it is the Spanish 腊肠.

Appetizer
1. Cebiche Tasting, RM44A typical Peruvian dish made of fresh raw fish and seafood, quick marinated. I tasted fresh salmon chunk, sea bass, prawn and squid.

Main Course
1. Elephant Ear, RM48The name is a direct translation from Spanish. It is actually grilled thinly pounded beef steak topped with tomatoes and capers. They would roll and serve it.
2. Exploration, RM48
Pork ribs marinated with Spanish paprika, honey, salt & pepper then pan-fried with chorizo (Spanish 腊肠 I mentioned earlier), bacon, beer and potatoes.
3. Signature Spanish Paella, RM80
No Spanish meal is complete without paella, this portion is good enough for 2 pax.
Dessert
1. Churros, RM18Typical Spanish dessert made by frying unsweetened dough pastry and finally dusts with sugar.
Pisco's churros are soft and light inside and slightly crispy on the outside, served with chocolate dip.
This totally wins my heart! I finished half plate all by myself. I've tasted churros elsewhere either too soft or too crispy, but this one just nice. And the chocolate dip is to die for, it's not too sweet and it goes perfectly with the churros.
Cocktail
A meal isn't complete without some thirst quenching cocktail.1. Pisco Spice, RM36
Pisco, pandan syrup, kafir lime leaves, egg white, lemon juice.
2. Salted Coconut Espresso Martini, RM38
Gold Rum, espresso, kahlua, salted coconut syrup
I like this one the most since I am a coffee lover, the espresso taste is really strong and I like salted coconut shred on it.
3. Chile Passion Martini, RM34
Vodka infused with lemongrass, chile, passion fruit syrup
I'd say think twice before you order if you are a person that can't take spicy, this one here is very spicy.
5. Gin Mare, RM44
Gin mare, thyme tincture, grapefruit.
This was my choice for the night, I never really adore Gin, but Gin Mare is very easy to drink, with a hint of grapefruit and rosemary.

ReplyDeleteElephant ears? Wowww, hahaha the name got me think the wrong one.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of its non-Halal shop, I really love the environment. I can see why this place will be a lepak spot.
