EVENT: Let's Bake Macaron with Your Loved Ones This Valentine's Day!
January 25, 2018
A fancy dinner? A date night over movie? Isn't this is what you guys did for the past years?
Well, why not try some different activity together? What about going to a baking class and bake your own heart shape macarons together?
Don't have to worry even if you never bake even once before, because there will be step-by-step guidance from the chef.
Handcraft Your Love for Your Valentine
In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, the Academy of Pastry Arts Malaysia, a premier culinary and pastry arts institution, is holding a Macaron and Chocolate Workshop on the 10th of February 2018 (Saturday). This 8-hour workshop is dedicated to those wanting to handcraft delightful and mouthwatering treats for their loved ones! Both couples and individuals are welcome to this unique workshop.
Serving as a space to create a more memorable and meaningful Valentine’s Day, this workshop is a baking experience that provides participants with professional guidance from the Academy’s own international award-winning chefs.
I was having Chef Angelo to show us the step-by-step guide to make the heart shape macarons.
Even to the making of marshmello in between that hold the macarons together.
The Workshop will feature special moulded heart-shaped macarons and chocolates, and participants will be able learn how to make them from scratch.
All materials are well prepared, basically just go there empty handed and ready to have some fun!
All the machines and tools are provided too.
The workshop comes complete with an exquisite gift box to present the memorable creations.
Very cute yet classy gift box isn't it?
Honestly I had so much fun at the workshop, learning and discover a new talent (not in my case LOL) is secondary. Everyone in the class turned from strangers to some kind of friendships, doing something together will surely bring peoples closer.
You might not even remember the taste or smell of the macarons, but you will always remember and cherish the memories and fun times you shared with your loved ones.

About Academy of Pastry Arts Malaysia
Founded in 2010 by Chef Niklesh Sharma, a former Executive Pastry Chef of Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur, with his believe that the pursuit of excellence in both pastry arts and culinary arts is a life long journey; and must be taught by seasoned industry professionals, who understand the needs of a commercial setup.
The faculty features multiple award-winning Chefs, and is a learning utopia for both new students, and experienced professionals alike.
The Academy syllabus was designed to produce kitchen-ready talent, and far exceeds the City & Guilds requirements of which all Academy programmes are accredited by. Paired with small class sizes, and quality hands-on training; the Academy serves as a springboard for many young graduates who are almost immediately snapped up by the industry, or go on to setup businesses of their own.
Their continued dedication towards this art form, led them to create one of the most anticipated annual pastry events - the Asia Pastry Forum, now in its 6th year. They have also successfully opened three more branches, namely in The Philippines and two in India.
